Just wow OP
FYI, But this content isn't "202X political" in any way shape or form, This is a game coming originally from 2013 on the PS3, with Left behind coming later in 2014 IIRC.
I didn't think left behind was that bad tbh, It's meant to be a back story which shows how ellie got infected and how she found that she was immune to the cordyceps in the first place and imo it does a good job of showing that.
You tihnk people choose who they love? Lots of people love people that aren't good for them, or hold up a minute...they CHANGE with time too.
When was the last time you went outdoors? 2019? Covid scared a lot of people into thinking this game was real.
It's part of the backstory, Ellie's infection was as a result of going out of the quarantine zone with her girlfriend who also happened to be a firefly, Who would face death if caught by Fedra.
It's not "pushing an agenda" at all, It's giving context to the events that started Ellie's journey.
The problem is that you are seeing the kiss and the obvious relationship Ellie has with Riley as virtue signalling but it's not about that, You gotta read between the lines and look at the whole picture rather than what's on screen.
Listen to the dialogue, watch the way the two interact even right at the start.
The fact that Ellie and Riley are an item only gives context as to the reason why Riley snuck into Ellies room to begin with, Since Riley is moving away and won't be able to see Ellie anymore.
How the hell people supposed to know beforehand that the DLC is bad? Especially when the main game is such an amazing game?
