Effectively dodging is possible.

It's just that you can't. And there is probably 3 reasons:

1. You just started and don't understand how the FCS system works.

2. You do not fully understand the thing you are fighting and have not "gotten gud" yet.

3. If it's PvP you're talking about. Netcode so I can't really blame you.

Plus if you truly want to effectively dodge, just use Schnieder parts.

Reverse joint legs + booster with 0.3 to 0.5 cool down on quick boosts.

Effectiveness of your dodge drop drastically if your machine is too heavy, you may want some 300+ or 350+ speed to evade enemy attacks.
Due to the lack of i-frame, it's almost impossible to be unscratched. But don't take that too seriously since you are using some 10-meter-tall mech instead of humanoid creature and can tank decent amount of damage.
If you are talking about some highly accurate attacks with visual and sound warnings, be aware that they are easier to dodge when you boost toward the opposite direction of your movement, they can't predict that.

You can effectively dodge attacks by hiding behind a rock.

keep the tips coming, thx

Speed kills. Get above 370 speed and you wont get hit by a single missile.

350 is the magic number. Anything 350 or higher is good to go.

If you're under 350 in speed you can still use shield's to mitigate damage pretty effectively; and even without that you can use the assault boost to mitigate damage.

Pretty sure AB just mitigates impact and not damage

Yeah, but 370 means you can also dodge bullets, which are teeeeeeechnically a kind of missile

I find it weird that it goes like that physics wise, so I only used ab as a mobility and combo option -w-')>

You can. But probably not in the way you're thinking. Quickboost isn't like the roll Dark Souls popularized. It doesn't give you any iframes of any kind.

If you want to avoid getting hit you need to move your mech out of the enemy's line of fire.

Never stop moving, ever. Raw speed is SO much more effective than raw HP in most cases.

Probably Schneider's motto lmao.

Quickboost is your dodge, you just don't have i-frames. IE you need to think sometimes about WHERE you dodge.

IE if a missile is coming from above and in front of you, dodge forward when it gets close (it will curve down behind you and hit the ground). Things like that.
