They're objectively trash tier in all their stats and have absolutely no reason to be used outside of the ransetsu RF and harris if going for the charge attacks, which are both mid at best. Seriously look at the numbers. There's multiple weapons doing the same thing and most of them are far behind the others with no meaningful redeeming factors.
As for OP, yeah the attache is pretty bad with its high weight and en cost for what little it does, worse at damage output, impact output both accounting for reload and without, and has a shorter burst duration ontop of that than just using the ransetsu RF. Though the worst weapon is still the ransetsu AR by a long shot. Thing is amazingly bad.
If all you're doing is staring at numbers, you're missing out on how the weapons actually function. It's funny when you're telling a person who primarily uses kinetics over energy weapons that they are "objectively" bad, as if that's going to override the user's experience or something. When i switched to S-Rank grinding, using the Ransetsu RF (in particular) is easy mode. You have to be trolling, at this point, or just being contrarian for no reason. Don't worry, nobody is listening to you.
Now that I think about it, you probably just don't like kite builds lol.
I've been using dual Ludlows since launch. They're fine.
best part is before the last buff their impact output was on par with the therapist.
I use many builds all the time, including kiting builds, rifle builds have been one of my favorite options to use throughout the game. The ransetsu RF pumps out more damage, more stagger, has better range, has better damage per reload, has better direct hit adjustment, in practice this means that it actually gets staggers on targets and has some ammo left to punish and has a decent punish instead of struggling to get to that point in the first place.
trying unloading one of them on a staggered target. they are almost on par with melee weapons.
All the other rifles do more damage on a staggered target and also work as chip damage though.
