uh.. i stopped using songbirds once the recovery time got nerfed to "inconvenient*. So are the needles, so are the shotties.
I would like the old songbirds back tho, but at even less dmg, lighter shells. I can live with this kind of adjustment. at the current state. I dont use.
Maybe just try out the other weapons, like laser cannons with a good energy generator or coral gen, or even the 10 shot direct missile launchers are on par with songbirds without making you stop to fire, not to mention a bunch of the stuff you get later on too. I was thinking personally they could use a buff after their prior nerf, they weren't even really used in pvp much before the nerf and their use in PvE was mostly limited to people who got the game, didn't look much into other weapons, and were just running what the general public was calling "meta builds" despite dual gatlings + dual songbirds being kinda just trash compared to something like zimms and lascannons
They did many more buffs than nerfs tho
People who think you can achieve any form of balance by simply blindly adding weight to the scales are usually responsible for breaking said scales.
Zimmerbaby confirmed
You'll realize that songbirds very quickly taper off in utility, and there's much better options.
And the tradeoff for heavyweight craft is supposed to be that they can hold much harder hitting weaponry.
Songbird and Earshot are nice. But putting x4 laser or plasma shot into a target just feels so much better XD
I think that's not the intended way to play AC. The half of the game's fun is about fooling around in the garage. So if you find something is too good on your hands, better to try different loadout consciously instead of making a plea for 'fix'.
At least for pve. Because, you know, pvp is all about meta. That's my two cents.
Using his brainpower on how to nerf a weapon in pve game.
I wonder if his iq is in the same ballpark as einstein.
Chainguns = increase weight.
Pilebunker = decrease damage and impact, increase speed.
Pilebunker is basically the top tier speedrun weapon now while the chainguns are the top fire and forget Aim assist weapons.
