So even as a guy who rolls his eyes at people screaming about healing in souls games, I think mostly it would only add padding and ALSO frustrating every time you are locked out of healing by certain types of attack actions or flinches from damage.
Remember, you can't heal if certain things are interrupting you. So you could only heal if you were, essentially, running away successfully from a fight. Or, you won and want an extra cookie for getting a kill.
Healing in PvP itself isn't a bad concept, but in the context of armored core it would just make the flow awkward. So my being against it isn't some tired "Whaa whaa healing is casual but also I will cry about shotguns hurting me more" take. Even my far too fat stubborn machine builds would benefit from healing.
Which reminds me, a build with heavy defenses would honestly benefit from healing kits more than my balsa wood boy builds. At least assault armor is so weak I can get into explosion trades with my light against a heavy, or a light can do it against my heavy.
Repairs in team deathmatch would only lead to an even worse "win more" than the spawns already do (as soon as someone dies, their team is likely to end up in a permanent 2v3).
The idea should be thrown out the window. Recovery only has a place in games where attrition isn't a victory condition, i.e: objective based game modes.
It would still lead to oneshots when you cant use the repair kit in time, its inconsistent.
Oneshots in general are stupid. If you wanna oneshot something play CoD where 3 bullets kill an enemy.
I just think it's not gonna work, but we will see.
