Yep, this is kinda blowing my mind.

This kind of bait and switch has been made before, just like that with Elden Ring (cover art guy vs. the actual protagonist). I wonder if there is yet again significant change in the writing when the game is near release.

And I wonder who N. Raven's operator is.

I'd hardly say nightfall "sold the game" as the video guy put it.

Dark Souls 1 cover guy - dies in the first 15m of the game
Dark Souls 2 cover guy - doesn't even appear in the game
Dark Souls 3 cover guy - armor you get from the last boss
Bloodborne cover guy - generic hunter
Elden ring cover guy - appears to be Vyke, who has a small part, and the guy in many promos was wearing raging wolf armor, which you get from a guy you meet for a few minutes while you kill him

It's just a thing they do, I don't think there's much to read into it. Sounds more like buddy needed to pad some content into his channel 😂

Yeah, that aside, the fact that N. Raven is actually related to you all along is mind blowing tho.

But I don't think it's 100% confirmed yet.

Speculation of course but that's the part of the joy of Fromsoft games I guess 😂

With this information in mind, I'm happy with either a DLC prequel or sequel.

That's the Forlorn. They do appear in the game. They are only in Scholar, but then again they're only on the Scholar cover. The original Dark Souls 2 art cover was Faraam armor guy.

There were 2 covers for DS2. One was a guy wearing farram knight armor. The other one for SOTFS was a forelorn.
