How many endings it is? And do you have to play from the start again?
Just curious I beat game today and was looking to finish on the other ending as well.

Three total, and do not worry: you only need to finish the other ending in order to unlock the path to the third. Any choices you make between then and now matter not.

Moral quandaries if present, however, are all on you. (cough)

Yes.
Edit: actually, you start from Mission 2.

Yes.

Excluding the tutorial mission when you first land on Rubicon.

To add, the second play through is about as long as the first, but you'll know what you're doing and have access to everything in the shop you did not buy and everything you picked up in your first play through. The final route is a bit shorter and cuts out a few missions for...reasons. :)

My bad, just occurred to me.

Make SURE when doing Ng+ that you do all of the alternate options you are given, and Always do the opposite decision missions, do NOT do the same ones or you will not unlock ng++ and will have to re-do ng+.

Unlocking NG++ really only requires doing the Chapter 5 decision mission you hadn't selected last time.

Or the last two times if you're like me who wanted to see what would happen if one did all the new NG+ missions and all the previous missions that weren't run, then selected the same Chapter 5 path as NG at the end anyway.

That said to unlock all missions for S ranking yeah, do everything opposite of what you first did as much as you can remember.

There's a fairly tight path to get the true ending, so I recommend doing some research before you tackle third playthrough, if you want to make sure you don't miss true ending ^^''

Doesn't exactly take rocket science to figure it out. Just take all the new missions from kate or allmind. Also escort the strider, which only appears in NG++

Sources seem to indicate you need to protect the dam which is not specifically flagged as a new mission, and also isn't even new to NG++

I read that too, but I've also seen people claiming that isn't the case. Some of the stuff on the wiki "completion list" I know for a fact aren't requirements.

Yeah I've seen some obviously incorrect pages listing a bunch of earlier act missions as if they're required for the normal endings.

Which is just immediately false or else you could just get locked out of either ending according to these pages.

3 endings, in each playthrough you get access to new missions. Just do the new missions and you'll arrive at all three endings.

In your first playthrough you can achieve two, those actually hinge on only one single decision. To betray Carla or side with her.

The third ending is unlocked in the third playthrough and it should be painfully obvious which missions to choose.
