Is Steel Haze Ortus ridiculously easy to take down or is it just me?

I was expecting him to be super fast and tough to beat but he went down very easily and I didn't even run out of repair kits. All I needed was one gatling, one siege missile launcher and two stun needles. None of which I brought specifically for that fight.

"All I needed was two stun needles, the most broken back unit in the game." They're pretty much an insta-kill on stagger. Some NPC AC's don't even have time to use a repair kit.

He's still a light AC and you have like infinite boost in that fight.

It's definitely a valid strategy, but you can't really use the premier loadout for deleting an enemy in seconds, and then complain it deletes them in seconds lmao

Yeah Rusty's kind of a big doodohead for pairing a launcher with the single highest lockon time in the game with an FCS with the single worst lockon assist.
And I know everyone above has mentioned this already but you really aren't allowed to complain about a boss being easy when you showed up packing the universal "kills everything in 2 weapon rotations" loadout

you have a point, when i used dual rivers of blood and a mimic to kill Maleina, I DEFINITELY didn't brag.

I thought Freud was easier then Rusty tbh it's always strange how everyone seems to find a different things hard or easy

Rusty is using an almost legitimate AC duel, which means he is going to be less ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ than a PCA fat jetpack build with infinite flare launchers and infinite flight time.

See also: Chasing after the PCA super unit with a combat log that constantly hides behind skyscrapers to reset their stagger, taking longer to kill than "oops I accidentally quick killed Freud, the arena #1 AC pilot" for your S rank expecting a B from how long chasing a PCA optional unit took.

Super Rusty can be pretty nasty to many builds as they are very all in on heavy kinetic pressure and high speed. But you are also complaining about the wrong problems in this game's difficulty curve if you are crying "Why Rusty not using essentially psychic powers and teleporting? Why can't rusty glitch his way out of a chainsaw like other bosses? How come super rusty only has one revive instead of a revive and summoning minibosses to change his diaper?"

I found him more difficult than any other normal "AC boss fight" in the game honestly. Which is to say I had to buckle down and actually put effort into killing him even with my better AC builds. No one really tops him, not michigan, carla, or even handler walter.

With that being said he certainly isn't impossible to kill, and isn't anywhere near as much of a pain as ibis or the duo/trio fights.
