Am actually not even sure anyone is even physically there. ~_~
We never see a human for the entire game.
Concerning OP:
Raven isn't really a name attributed to a single person as far as I understand, it's more something akin to a title
What are you talking about, ejection seats exists, but some of the people died. Hawkins died, Pater survived (he took Hawkins rank during prison break, taking the name V.V Pater) Volta Died, you can see his corpse on the wallclimber mission, and his last words to Iguazu. Michigan died, either by you or by Rusty. Snail died in NG++ when we ambushed him on institute city.
There is quite a difficult spike different (or rather the opposite) between that tutorial boss and pretty much everything else in chapter 1 aside from the chapter boss.
The license we took initially may have belonged to a less successful version of 'Raven'.
I'm more interested in knowing who 'Raven''s Operator is.
So an F-Rank mercenary who couldn't handle himself is worthy of the name Raven?
That's actually plausible. Though I took Nightfall falling as more of them successfully ejecting after we disabled their AC. That's why the operator still talked as if Raven is still around
Jokes aside, Raven essentially just being a title was passed onto that AC which includes all the baggage the name carried, were gunned down by PCA since that name is such a high profile target for them and then you go and pick up the ID triggering the Heli to go after you. You'll notice inbetween the 1st and 2nd IDs that the heli couldn't care less about your existence and won't attack you until you pick up Raven's ID.
exactly, it is also explained in the game to some extent. Pay more attention. :)
And the pilots are in their machines. You are an augmented human who just looks like a corpse in a bag (you can see this in the story trailer)
there are a lot of other augmented pilots in the game, but also some people control mechs who are just normal, it seems.
That makes sense, but then, during the Cataphract mission, what's up with the captain eventually realizing that the guy he's facing (us) is not raven? it implies that the PCA has a specific database on the individual pilot Raven. Or does that means they have the data for all of the ravens? or are they also not aware that Raven is not just one person
