1. Equip the hammerhead part for much better scanning.
1. Destroy the hacking parts ASAP.
2. Kill the tetrapod when it spawns.
3. Try to attack Iguazu normally, WHEN the Ghost team pop up, STOP attacking him and in fact focus on destroying the Ghosts, then you can resume the fight with him once the meddlers are gone.
This mission, I love it.
(Correction: I went in to record footage, took me a few attempts, and I got the S-Rank by slamming the tetrapod, RE was right)
Concerning loadout, I recommend changing the needles for 6 cells plasma missiles x2 - They're very easy to use, and will go around Iguazu's shield. Another option that will have that effect is Drone launchers. You could also use something extremely high pressure like the Soup missile launchers or the 10 cells straight missile launchers. Needle launcher is useless against the shield. ><
Concerning the chainguns, I'd recommend something like harris rifles with at least 110 recoil absorption - fire them semi auto without using charged shots, just pressure iguazu with that constantly. Try to avoid hard lock - it drastically reduces your accuracy proportional with your range. If you're insisting on using chainguns, well, try to tune your usage of it, get into AC test and fire without a target, see how your crosshair behaves, and try different arms, learn to control your trigger finger to avoid recoil (and possibly overheat ? I'm not a gatling enthusiast, not sure how you can control that), I think this might be a problem for you. If recoil affects you too much, you'll miss 50% of your shots at like 50m. I got much better when I learned to balance recoil absorption and firearms spec. ;o
Took me about 4 attempts, haven't played in two weeks, needed to get back in the groove. :D
And if you're not using a weapon that can kill MTs quickly then you're doing it wrong.
As for Iguana, well he's a little ♥♥♥♥♥ who hides behind his shield, drawing the fight out longer. Vertical plasma missiles are a good way to get around it, but you can't really use them prior to his fight (indoor area, too small). Melee attacks are still a good way to break through shields though, as are explosives.
Assault armor is good for breaking down pulse shield defenses for the cloaked drones.
I don't know if it had an incidence, but I destroyed the tripod.
Well, I played offline because my connexion was broken, had the 'perfect mercenary' achievement, but didn't have the 'armored core' one for some reason.
So I have ALL the achievements but the one I get for having ALL the achievement...
I'll just curl in a ball and cry under my bed.
Am glad it helped.
I'm really sorry for your achieve. ;_;
100% completion. I'm happy.
I suspect this game will have a high 100% rate because it's addictive.
They need to add this S ranking system into Souls games.
one trick i learnt from PVP is that shield users are extremely weak against coral generator assault armour - coral assault expansion will overload their shields into cooldown instantly. This works against coral shield and all other shields in the game, 100%
The trick here is remove Iguazu's shield immediately so that it goes into a cooldown.
Proceed to eliminate Iguazu before the unidentified mechs show up for easy S rank.
Dual Vvc Plasma Rifles were pretty good for this mission just because it 1-hits the objectives and all minor enemies and has larger AoE for dealing with groups. (Such as the door that automatically opens and enemies come out, easy couple of kills for one ammo.)

For those that haven't completed S-ranking this mission: Completing the hacking drone segment is priority and killing enemies on the way is a bonus that provides padding for the end fight.
There's an easy timesave in the first room: you can stay on the upper level to kill the hacking drone. Then fly through the molten foundry into the second room and drop straight to the floor instead of opening either of the doors.
The second timesave: You don't need to kill the heavy Tetrapod immediately. Killing all of the hacking drones first takes priority, as that starts the second objective. You can't open the exit doors for roughly 25 seconds after the hacking drone objective is complete, which is free time you can spend killing things on the way to the exit (such as the Tetrapod and any minor enemies on the way) to make getting an S-rank easier from score padding.
