Armored Core old games.

Hey I want to know will the other armored Core games be released on Steam? I would love to play the older games before playing the new one.

Not a chance, none of them ever made it to pc, and none of them have been updated for later consoles, the only way to play would be to have the old consoles and games, or emulation

I wish. If I had the original .hack and Armored Core games on Steam I'd be the happiest person around. Maybe add Ace Combat to the list.

Not official ports, though most AC games were from the Ps2 era, backwards, aside from AC4/AC:FA.

Meaning emulators, and given by how old those systems and games are, it should be perfectly legal at this point.

I did try with Xenia emulator for xbox these days, with ac 4 and 5, but it keep crashing as soon as I try to load the game. As of now, this is the only way to play the old titles on PC if you no longer have a functional old xbox or ps3.

Both 4 and 5 were available for Ps3, so a Ps3 emulator would work too. I used rpcs3 a while ago, years ago, it should be stable by now.

Idk, maybe is my pc no compatible. I've seen video on YT of ppl running it fairly well, so I'd say luck does not smile on me...

I mean if Mega Man Legacy Collection and Kamiwaza: Way of the Thief can be ported to steam why not the old Armored Core games?

Bandai Namco ported .hack//G.U. to PC. I bet noone expected that either. We living in wondrous times where even former console exclusives appear on PC. So I wouldn't rule it out completely for older AC games. But I guess it may depend heavily on how well or not AC6 will do. Mecha games aren't super popular, at least not in the West, there is no telling how much FromSoftware can pull from their success with the Soulslike games to balance that fact out.

Yep, PC market is booming.
I really hope AC6 sells a ton so we get Front Mission on PC, more SRW and of Xenosaga collection (might as well be 4K at this point).

I was finally able to make it work on RPCS3 today, after hours of reading guides and fixes. WOW

It is still a bit glitchy, but at least I was able to get past the tutorial and start a mission, yey
