Arena Feels Harder than the Bosses

Just hit rank C, and it's brutal. It feels like they always have twice the quick boost, and I'm permanently getting stun locked. Trying to beat G4 Volta, and he's a freaking sniper with those Zimmermans.

Are you tailoring your AC to the fight? He's got Zimms so the clear counter is range, so load up a quick AC with lots of missiles and something punchy that works at long range.

Use the hard-lock. Makes things much easier. Tip I didn't learn until the final boss: Once you hard lock something, let go of the stick entirely. Your camera will now follow that enemy around no matter what.

Maybe it's Hard because there isn't a Repair Kit
Tbf the Arena is easy until you get to the final Rank and after than when you can unlock the Extra Arena for NG++

Pretty much just use plasma rifles for most fights, and swapped my shoulders out as needed, vertical Plasma until songbirds, then stun needles

melee everything they will die before 1 minute but it's kinda boring so better run it with mid range build if you want some fun

AC can be actually harder than bosses since they have much speed, use combination of rapid fire weapon or missiles and heavy gun, you can catch them between their boost. if you have generator with right stats energy weapons chew their armor very well too.

I didn't really think arena was very tough. I think I went through Both pages of the arena with the identical build. One I started with in E I carried all the way into All Minds goofy creations in NG++

You must play aggressive. pretend you have already won and this moron is coming back for seconds, put them in their place.

There’s a lot of viable builds and unlike the bosses this is straight “pvp” meaning they have the same rules you do (plus some input reading). So unlike regular pve where you make a mech and put on your fav weapons, here you have to actually know what a working build is.

You can’t heal but you can and should use your core expansions and you definitely should make sure you have a high damage combo to punish staggers really hard. You can go light and dodgy or heavy and high damage but you do gotta have a game plan for the arena. You can do it!

I had a harder time trying to fight G4 Volta with the Nightfall AC Data than Ibis in my first playthrough

Tripods with dual Songbirds and whatever main weapons you want should work. Legit used Tripod legs for every single arena fight except 1 where I wanted to try out Tank Treads.

I found the Arena to be the easiest part because they can't use repair kits.

Depends on your build. Arena seemed way easier though. I wish it was harder than the bosses though. 1v1 with enemy ACs is the most fun.

What I learned that if an enemy AC is troublesome, circle buildings and just ambush them, or lock them into a corner/wall. They won't be dodging you anytime soon.
