I think what helps on that front from a narrative perspective is that he's not taking you lightly, and is going at you full force with the whole squad because he respects your prowess and knows that even if he CAN take you down, it's not going to be without casualties, and all he can do is do his best to minimize that while accomplishing the mission.

Michigan probably feels better even when mildly annoyed by needing a tetrapod to babysit him. Because he has legitimate, real AC boss AI instead of "Why do people keep praising nineball or Zinaida for running away like babies nonstop?" AI.

Nosebreak michigan as soon as he shows up (meaning hard lock on to him and stick to him like glue until he is dead). After that the rest of the force falls apart.

Definitely the hardest mission to S rank imo. Most missions require either low damage taken, high speed or efficient ammo usage. Intercept the Redguns requires all three.

Didn't have issues S ranking this one honestly. Just went in with a full tank, needle launchers, and shotguns. Oddly I did worse than my minigun attempt (which both was shorter and I took less damage) yet I ended up getting a higher rank from this. My only guess would be due to ammo consumption of shotguns being much lower than miniguns.
