Ranged engagements are irrelevant outside of like, missiles. its all close range simulator
Pretty much everyone that likes it has never played older AC games. AC6 is cool but it should be a bit more armored core, less of a generic action game.

You're wrong.
I have a lot more footage like this, I'm almost exclusively a linear rifle player.
It's not the game limiting you, you're limiting yourself~
its not an exactly impressive video in terms of kill time, and relative to what Armored Core games often had, its simply not a long ranged engagement and playstyle, with a boss that makes itself an easy target for anything that can hit at this game's definition of medium distance
Not to mention the reason ricochets are like this is because most of the bosses themselves are completely not built around genuine long range anymore, they become completely powerless
Your entire video and reply does nothing but prove my point, you never played older AC titles, and your own words in your review confirms it
Assault Rifles are barely in what the FCS considers "mid range" going by their ideal range for example, the range gap between low end mid range and close range is questionably small on some weapons, like how the Zims have an ideal range barely lower than the maximum of close range (102 vs 130).
Hell the Laser Handgun, despite being a handgun, actually outranges most of the Kinetic weapons in terms of ideal range, some by over 60m of distance (like the Gatlings which are 130 to the handgun's 190).
To me it feels like there isn't quite a true "mid range" niche because being close range isn't really a drawback for most close range weapons aside from having to chase down flying missile boats.
That being said, that change would also largely overly favor heavier builds which the game arguably already favors as well.
They really should buff the hell out of the ars range given them largely lacking a niche and the lack of snipers from older titles (I overtly left out projectile speed).
Being a semi consistent long range poke option would be a lot better than where they sit now.
do you know how dangerous a 9mm browning pistol is at range? a slightly tough t-shirt could stop it at 30m.
This changes from weapon to weapon.
It's pretty realistic that armour as thick as a house would cause a ricochet at range too.
this is incorrect. you lack a basic understanding of weapons and how they work to make a statement like this.
Not sure where you read that from, but it makes no sense whatsoever
t. witnessed someone die by a stray shot IRL.
