Every other attempt to launch AC6 has an easy anticheat crash error.

Game launches fine.
EAC ♥♥♥♥♥ up.

every time.

I get the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up so poorly with older games that they shut down their servers for basically a year to deal with security issues.

But I also hate people shilling for lowest bidder anti cheats with "wow guess you want to cheat if you think they do a ♥♥♥♥ job at anticheats!"

because people pissing themselves for the chance to hype up their brand loyalty, is why they get away with lazy ass covering minimum methods that are more likely to get regular customers softbanned than cheaters (I have been fortunate to avoid ever having any bans but wowie zowie some of the horror stories over the years)

rename the start_protected_game.exe to something else.

Open the game with EAC, choose offline mode, restart the game and after it loads close the EAC process.
Fixed my constant crashes and stutters for me.

Look around elden ring wikia pages, there is tutorial on how to disable EAC.

But remember, if you're planning on cheating, modding or modify anything inside the game, DO NOT GO ONLINE. If you're thinking to boost your char using cheating software, and use it to play online after disable cheat, don't. EAC know what you're doing. Just stay offline.

If you want to play online, just delete your save files, and uninstall your game if you install anything sus from nexus, and play the game again from beginning. Clean slate.

The game runs like ♥♥♥♥ on my pc with EAC, stuttering and low fps even in 1080p low settings, I had to disable EAC and now I can run 120 fps with no stuttering in 2560x1440 high with my i6700k @4.6 3080ti, Turning off hyperthredding did nothing for me, as did every other fix out right now. They need to patch their game cuz EAC is tanking performance big time, which is what I had heard was common on elden ring?

EAC is completely pathetic. There are so many ways around it.

Its the bare minimum anticheat that devs get scammed so they can stamp it on their loader

believe it or not EAC is causing issues for some computers, mine included. multiplayer is not available to us whether we want to play it or not, because some sort of hardware/software issue prevents the game from running properly, and applying an actual incredibly easy fix for it is prevented by EAC. the *only* way to be able to play is without EAC, and offline.

it's easy to hate EAC.

To be fair, making an anti-cheat is insanely hard, and when picking on off-the-shelf one you have to consider performance-to-security ratio.
Sure there's better Anti-cheats out there, but they either come at a performance cost, or they are hated by users because they have to always run in the background with kernel access. (the latter of which can turn off even the most accepting users)

Here. It's in Japanese, but basically look for the file above in game base and rename the original start protected game. Then rename ArmoredCore6 executable to "Start_Protected_game"

Then launch through steam. EAC shouldn't pop up.
