This part really stuck out like a sore thumb against anti-coop people. If they really didn't want allies, they could've done like some of the older games where you literally have no in-field allied NPCs to help you through the whole game.

Big misconception there, if you think this is gonna be like Elden Ring Seamless Coop. Elden Ring already have coop base game, the problems are just world syncing & you having to summon your friends on specific places.

AC6 has no player coop in missions so far that we know. At all. People would have to create a whole new mission Get-Send data sync systems just for this to even be possible. And this is assuming they can use the PvP's connection method.

This is a Skyrim Together situation, and Skyrim Together took 4 years to develop with public SDK. I need coop to carry my friends into the mecha world as well, but don't think there will be any player mission co-op unless there are codes for it left in the base game.

I assumed that this game would have co-op just like AC5 (or maybe it was AC4 that did, I don’t remember) but it doesn’t at all? I even thought it had the co-op designation from Steam. Ugh.

Well there will be pvp so they have some kind of net code for modders to work with if there is no co-op, I would love me some co-op missions even if they are separate.

Even with said net code, syncing NPCs & mission objectives wouldn't be as easy...unless Team PvP also has objective-based modes around NPCs.

This will be a harder endeavor than simply removing the backwards restrictions FromSoftware put on Elden Ring for player summons.

It's gonna be hard yes, but easier then say skyrim coop lol which they had to do all that and a little more, im just saying it's possible haha gonna take someone really dedicated though.

It has always been possible. It's just hardly probable, like 10%~20% chance of such a mod being made.

That probability will increase along if there are any leftover co-op net codes and/or the existence of NPC-based Team PvP. But don't hope much, it'll only drag people down...or worse, make some regret their purchase after delusionally thinking there'll be a mod like Elden Ring Seamless Co-op in a few months after launch.
Yeah people need to realise just cuz it's possible doesn't mean it'll happen I'll enjoy the game regardless if you wanna hold out for a mod do it without buying the game if a mod gets made then you get it. Maybe they'll add more modes in dlc, it's possible they are testing the waters to see if the game is a success first even.

I'm getting confused here, the game tag says "Co-op" and "Online Co-op". Could someone explain to me what kind of co-op does this game offer because me and my older brother is really interested in buying this game.

This would be an excellent time to DLC in Master Of Arena

According to the steam page as of this moment the current listed features say single player and pvp multiplayer, nothing about co-op yet that I have seen.

You are not alone in that desire, but we are not going to get that this game. Maybe the next one if we're lucky. :(

Armored Core has always been a single player experience, and I'm very glad they're not doubling down on online multiplayer again like they did with Armored Core 5 and Verdict Day.
If you want online co-op mecha, go play Armored Core 5 or Mech Warrior.
