hell no f2p. F2p usually translate en p2w, microtransanctions and similar. f2p games are money hungry and a reaaaaally bad experience.

Hope that the dev won't see this post. It will be over 70$ and over 1 year to be able to compete high rank if u F2P. Time is money. So everything add up the price.

Should have followed Master Duel's model. For the faults that game has it's F2P model is still far friendlier than I've seen compared to many gatcha thanks to it's vastly superior crafting system (especially Zero's). I know VG players hate being told when YGO does something better but this is one of those instances. Yes you DO have to put time into the game with the logins and have to manage your gems well but in that game you can build 1-3 decks *without spending a penny* through the amount of gems you get from starting an account and doing some of the dailies/solo stuff. Not all gatchas aim to nickle and dime you like Zero does...it's just the ones that don't are far and few between.

Universal mats for creating cards is good
But take note the cost is also important

GR mats in zero is crazy grind for a single GR to craft

Shadowverse is the same too
1 mats to create all rarity of cards

Yeah, I wish this game is like MD. I lost count how many decks I have built. I think MD is extremely generous and definitely not p2w, at least at its current state. Building at least a new meta deck when they are releasing a new pack without paying a cent is not really an issue.

just being generous doesnt make the game not p2w, as you can obviously pay more money to get more cards = more ways to build good decks and win.

also one big annoyance MD has that I cannot play offline and I primarily like to play the game solo anyway, and both switch and Steam Deck are great choices for playing games that dont always have online connectivity.

People keep thinking this a master duel competitor, it's not, this is a card game RPG made primarily for its single player content with multiplayer on side.
