Is dear days 2 even gonna be worth it at this point?
i heard that dear days has a rough start due it it's price and that it rarely goes on sale with reasonable pricing on top of locking packs behind DLC. Hence why i didn't buy it. I love vanguard as much as the next person, but part of me thinks they're gonna pull the same stuff with DD2. I hope that's not the case though.

even if they do it's like 2x more content espec since they're including some of the initial sets of the original format. people who wanna play will get it. is price really a concern when master duel makes you pay $300 to fully complete like 2 decks? cfv has the much better pricing strategy.

Um, who told you that you had to pay any money in MD to do anything? I have played enough Master duel to know that you actually don't have to pay a dime to fully complete a deck. The only people who actually put money towards MD are people who are just too impatient to finish their deck and pay money to speed up the process.

And dear days locking booster packs behind DLC on top of the $70 price tag is a very scummy move and the packs should already be in the game itself. It's one of the reasons why me and my old Vanguard Buddies didn't buy this game, because it's too expensive. But the dear days community for some idiotic reason keeps excusing these poor marketing strategies to bring in more players.

And keep in mind that even in this game with it's discount, people in these discussion posts keep saying it's still too expensive, which I heavily agree.

Why wouldn't they do the same thing? They have no reason not to. I would prefer a different approach because a big reason I stopped playing this game is the playerbase is hella low of which the current model seemingly isn't acceptable for alot of people. I actually like this type of model but it seems others do not I mean look at the difference between yugioh for example. I will keep an eye on release maybe something will change or alot people will suddenly get the game but I'm not optimistic about the situation.

Then it's gonna be a huge S**tshow like this game then. A Stupidly overpriced card game with dlc packs that you gotta pay for instead of putting them in the damn game from the start.

And no one likes this type of model because again it's greedy and stupid. And people wonder why yugioh is thriving compared to vanguard. It's because Konami uses their brain and know how to market games. I haven't played vanguard in years irl because most stores don't carry the game because it does poor in the west. And when we finally get a official cfv game to play online, guess what? It's a mess in terms of marketing.

meanwhile i hate the model of master duel/mtg arena/etc... I wanna pay once and be able to EARN (not automatically have) everything in-game legacy of the duelist style. DD1 was the perfect card game to me just as dd2 will be.

And here we have another person who caters to bad marketing for the wrong reasons. Smh

if this ain't for u then it ain't for you. i hate spending $300 for a SINGLE deck (MD) and then a new meta comes around and u have to spend another $300 to get enough packs/crafting mats/etc to make a new deck... $140-$220 ONE time is all we need for dd.

What part of YOU DON'T HAVE TO PAY A DIME TO FULLY COMPLETE A DECK IN MD do you or anyone else not understand???

If you wanna pay that much for the base game+DLC that's your decision. But again that's a stupid marketing ploy that people like you are dumb enough to fall for. The booster packs should have already been in the game with newer boosters coming out in future updates that shouldn't require more money to buy. I love Vanguard as much as the next person as I've said before, but they really suck when it comes to marketing. They can do better, but just choose not too.

MD's still a gacha game.

and Honestly, I'ld rather something like LotD and VGDD over MD.

still wish we'ld get an announcement for a sequel to that Shadowverse switch game...

I've been telling them that for the longest, but listening to reason is something they're very bad at. And what's even funnier is they have 500+ hours in MD than this game. So the whole time they were under the impression that you have to pay loads of money in MD to have a good deck. But in reality you don't have to pay a dime.

DD not worth it, since you'll have everything and MORE in DD2. Wait to buy DD2. DO NOT SPEND ANYTHING ON DD.

coming from a person who has every single expansion DLC in DD.

Bruh. the initial deck building is expensive because of generic but after that, most deck only need 4 to 6 UR. Which can easily farm within a week or 2. For free. Even then, you don't really need all of the generic.

or... play dd1/2 and make any deck you want within reason in a reasonable amount of time, the first 30 hours you collect a lot of the regular packs in dd1 but then after all duplicates turn to craft points and you can easily make any deck you want in a few AI duels or online duels, rewarded for your effort of playing, not for pay 2 win gacha grind nonsense that doesn't let you farm unlimitedly during when you want to play.
