THIS GAME IS $70 DO NOT BUY THIS GAME
This game will 100% flop with this Price Tag, we need to give Bushiroad a Message about this, that we don't like this! This is a Trading Card Game, not a AAA game. Let that be known.

Edit: Also if you all didn't know yet, this game does have DLC, and that DLC is paid, i'm sorry but this is a trading card game based on the first seasons of Overdress, maybe if this had the other formats like the G Era Sets, V Series and Premium, this might be justifiable, but it just isn't. You can get Tabletop Sim for roughly $20 and have just a great time with your friends.

While I do know this is our only Automated Sim in the west, I am ashamed in Bushiroad for doing this. Because I really love this card game and want it to succeed.

If people buy a product at full price and the product makes a significant profit in comparison to what was put into it, then why should they care enough to listen to people complaining if those same people never backed their complaints by showing the company they won't fork over money until they start caring. The reality is majority of people do not like micro transactions nor do they like games having dlc for the sake of it (especially games that make it obvious they gutted content intended to be in all along just for the dlc profit (I am referring to games in general with that one)), many people also do not like the aspect of booster packs being akin to gambling but because so many people keep buying into all these things despite not liking them companies decide not to care because they know they will make money either way and not have to worry about sales.

The thing is, you're being judgemental of people for not doing something that will have no effect. If I don't buy the game do you think Bushiroad is going to notice? If everyone goes "let's all not buy it collectively to show them that it's wrong to make us pay so much for an unfinished product" then they might notice... except that leads to another issue.
Let's assume Bushiroad see the lack of purchases in English or on PC, how do you predict they'll react? "Let's check the steam forums guys."? More likely they'll see it as a lack of interest on that platform or that region and simply not provide it again.
At the end of the day if they ignore player feedback and repeat the process for the next game I simply won't buy it, but this is literally THE FIRST TIME we've ever gotten an actual Vanguard automated sim on PC and in English.

The argument you're making is the real world equivalent of, "you don't like electricity companies using coal or nuclear power to create energy? Just stop paying for electricity dumbass lol."

This is how the real world business works pal, if people are interested in the card game they will buy it if not then dont is all up to people's interest.

The reason why i say is your mistake is because you already know the problem and still buying the booster box you know what i mean? If you buy once and complain thats fine, but you still keep buying it lol. Idk why people like u who just got reality check and now saying im kissing bushiroad lmao. Is just the exact same thing you r doing now, bushiroad aint gonna care about u complaining man, just giving u a reality check. Here you are crying about translation problem, trying to be a gaming karen at this point. Look, if you dont like it then dont buy it lmao.
You're literally just ignoring my arguments and throwing insults at this point.
You can complain about a product if it is in a bad state. You're also not a hypocrite for buying said product if you can not experience what it's offering elsewhere. At the end of the day you can like a product and still want it to be better.
I'm not crying and saying the game is terrible, I'm saying it's not polished for it's price tag, and the price of the physical card game IS NOT an excuse for that.

You're also literally proving my point, the fact there is so much interest for a game like this will allow them to get away with selling it for a higher price than most AAA games. That's why it's so insulting that they're cutting corners, because there are no alternatives and it costs so much despite the quality of the product you're getting.

I didnt say u are crying about the game being terrible lol, im saying u r crying about a small translation problem which honestly who cares man. Well we should have the common sense to know that alot of people already complained about the translation and they should be fixing it by now if not then ur point stands.

I don't see the issue with price though honestly, would you rather it to be free like duel links/hearthstone and get rekt by p2w players and then complain about them p2w? There are many different types of triple a games anyway, either you play story based or online like cod mw2 etc. Well is not like when a new triple a game release u will buy it instantly, you probably will wait till big sales arrive. Question is are you going to wait? Im probably waiting for reviews and then buy it since no pre order bonus anyway. At the end of the day, it all depends whether you are hype for the game or not, thats where it matters. If you r not that hype you probably wait for sales if not then do the opposite.

So would you rather the game to be free like hearthstone/duel links and then spend $1000 or $100 base game with future dlcs? Think about it

U are correct at some point but for your information, most AAA titles is more than 70$. Looks like u don't really play alot of AAA titles. $70 I would say mid-tier titles.
I'm in all agreed that this may be the only ENGLISH full vanguard digital we get. If this doesn't do well, it will end up the fate of EX where it won't get updated with new sets of cards over the months. Or even worst, no more ENGLISH digital VG that have no gambling microtransactions anymore.
And I guess it's fair enough to say that in rl VG, those who never buy new booster sets and upgrade their deck may lose up to those who does. So the paid DLC is very much justified. Hopefully it won't be super expensive. However nonetheless, it's still very very very much cheaper than rl VG cards.
And don't compare demo version as the final. Demo is demo, it's demo for a reason. Bushiroad sure will update the final version to polish the game.

I'm not saying I'd rather it be free, I'm saying I'd rather it not be $70 when most games go for less and have more thought put into them. I haven't just complained about the translation, the translation just goes to show how little effort they're actually putting in. My bigger issue is that it's a PC port that they couldn't be bothered to change anything on the UI to make the mouse actually bearable to use.
This is a video game, if you are going to sell it at above the usual full price, you better make sure it's well polished.

I've said this before but you shouldn't treat a demo as a test run. It might well end up being treated as such but it's not what demos are usually used for.
as for the AAA price thing, I was under the impression most standard editions still sold for $60 these days. If the standard has gone up to $70 that's really depressing. You might say that $10 isn't a lot but... the fact it went up to $60 in the first place is pretty disconcerting tbh.

This game at least should be $50.00. People don't have money for a $70.00 dollar game.

Except I'm not being judgemental, I'm pointing out the fact that most companies don't give a damn about us because we give them our money anyway, and if you think I was saying it like as if I don't do the same thing then I don't know what to tell you because I never said that I didn't. Also of course they won't give a damn and just won't give us more if it doesn't sell, companies do it all the time rather than actually caring to see why it didn't sell well, plot twist the reason usually has something to do with what the company did or didn't do. Lastly you can not compare what I am saying to telling people not to pay for stuff that they literally require to keep their houses liveable and keep from freezing to death, you need electricity to power your fridge/freezer, electricity or gas to power your heaters, etc. What you could compare what I have said to is let's say one day bushiroad started shoving nothing but commons into vanguard booster boxes and ticked everyone off, absolutely I would be telling people not to buy the boxes and raise up a ruckus on bushiroads socials because if everyone kept buying boxes with a change like that then it would stay that way.
The point is none of us have to have cards or video games, it is a want not a necessity, but even when we don't like what bushiroad does with either one we still fork over the cash and so they have zero reason to care about our complaints.

It just sounded like you were being judgemental by making it sound like it's the consumers fault ("so they keep buying it even if they don't like the practices"), where the reality is they're not actually in a position to change anything by not purchasing except make the matter worse for their self. If that wasn't your intention then I apologize for misinterpreting.

In hindsight it was way too extreme of a comparison, that's my bad. My point was though was that it's not like you can get it from anywhere else so going "just don't get it 4head" seems insane to me.
This isn't a nice cosy situation like Yugioh Master Duel where everyone can just go play YGOPro if what Konami is providing isn't good enough.

Technically we have cardfight area but I will admit an automated simulator would be nice to have since that is manual and as such has a higher entry barrier, maybe one day in the near future someone could make an automated simulator.

I think I said earlier in the thread, but the few that have tried to make them from the sounds have gotten Cease and Desisted. I think I'm just overly frustrated at this point because this is basically our only option for an automated sim and the argument of "just don't buy it if you don't like it hueh hueh" is driving me nuts. I like Vanguard, I will like this game... I'd just like Bushiroad to go the extra mile and polish it up if they're going to charge so much... because I want to have the best experience possible. I wanna spend my time loving what the game has to offer without having to ever think, "man this UI is kinda awkward to play on with a mouse" or "god that was painful to read" or whatever else. We all love Vanguard and I just want it to be the best it can and maybe I'm just a little too passionate about that.
I should probably just unsubscribe to the thread at this point to save myself the headache. Sorry for putting you through this. You, at least, seem pretty level headed and chill.

Then maybe switch version is the best. At least VG EX is very optimised in terms of switch controller UI.

Is there cross play steam and switch?
99 Nov 11, 2022 @ 6:18pm
People who complain so much should just go ahead and spend $100+ for a real life deck honestly. Funny how this guy talk so much about same price as triple a games, bruh his steam only have like 1-3 triple a games LOL

No crossplay. Not surprising considering Nintendo servers and steam servers are diff.

the standard is shifting to $70 the Big companies started feeling out and doing some lite testing the new prices on the Consoles. it's been getting some attention in the gaming sites since September that the price hike is coming.
