WO3 is a stronger overall package. WO4 kinda feels cheap in a lot of ways. That said, apart from the bad parts WO4 is still really solid. WO3 outshines it but they both stand pretty tall as top quality musous.
yea, because when i want to play a warriors game, being able to walk around a camp is super high on my list of requirements..
The changes really took me back when I loaded WO4. I love the inclusion of the Olympians and Aesir, but it felt so out of place to have them follow after WO3's ending. The game definitely made the characters seem weaker and less accomplished. WO3 wrapped up a lot of storylines, and WO4 undid them.
Again, I love how much of a.... well how much Zeus is himself in this game. It's bloody brilliant. WO3 feels like it was made with love and passion. WO4 cut quite a few things out.
+ better music, more guest characters, all old costumes from DW, 7,6,5,4,3 etc including StrikeForce costumes, both SW and DW characters play relatively the same. Edit your own missions mode, random officer selection button, story "menu" is a camp you can walk in. All the DLCs are already there. Feels more like an action game with leveling up than the other way around.
-no challenge mode from the PSP version, old movesets, the story progression was always ass because it forces you to replay one map like 3 times to unlock all characters which is ultra lazy and very annoying.
WO4:
+new movesets, hyper attacks for SW characters, new God characters, challenge modes, Sacred treasure can be customized to each character (at least in Ultimate), can try out moves and characters in a "test stage"
-SW and DW characters play veeery differently, with SW being better used for mobs and DW for officers, costumes are a joke and instead of containing all the previous ones they got some random modern DLC costumes from DW8 it's awful, no Ninja Gaiden gang outside of Ryu. Have to buy a lot of DLCs if you want some extra stuff. It feels more like an rpg than an action game with the focus on leveling up. Menu is kind of mobile game like.
WO3s Gauntlet mode and WO4s Tower mode are kind of the same I mean they are meant for high level endgame players.
With the Ultimate expansion, this is hands down one of the best Warriors games easily, up there with the likes of DW3 and SW2
The story and writing is also better in 3, 4 has too much weeb ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
