AIs are pretty bad so don't get them out, especially when you are playing Hard or Chaos. They will die easily because they don't know what they are doing. Their dying will give you less opportunity to switch out. But Tripple Musou is a nice thing to do in a while if needed.
Aren't TA geting you Gems, not Crystals? Later when you play in harder difficulty (a level 50 Officer with good equipment is enough), they will be abundant and you won't likely need to care about those things, and more of Gauntlet Mode where you do get to K.O. at least 2k per match.
Thanks a lot for your answers!
I'm glad Proficiency doesn't go down. At least it's something I can max out early using that item that increases Proficiency earning speed.
Most of the time that I've lost it's because I've changed modes, forgotten to change back, then swapped to another character that has no Life or Musou left and dying, haha.
From what I've read, you can occasionally get Crystals doing Triple Team Attacks, they're more likely to drop on Hard or higher and I think bonds affects how many you can get.
Trinity 百撃合力 True Triple Attack refills by a set amount for every 100 KOs for all members.
Ability 1: Xiahou Dun, Ma Dai, Kaguya, Nemea, Keiji Maeda, Mitsuhide Akechi
Ability 2: Zhang Liao, Zhou Tai, Sima Shi, Joan of Arc, Shennong, Tadakatsu Honda, Hanbei Takenaka
There is almost zero benefit to having your teammates out. In any situation where you need to tag out because you're in trouble, your teammates if they are out and controlled by AI are getting wiped harder than you are. You can see this phenomenon happen in Gauntlet mode a lot.
Promotion is really good if you can swing it but it's tough to get the resources to do it early unless you monomaniacally focus on one set of characters. Being able to improve a character's speed is HUGE. Eventually you can get them so fast you don't need horses but that takes quite a few promotions. This is the biggest QOL improvement you can get in the game and even if it does not directly make you stronger it will make the game SO MUCH more fun. Plus, resetting a char's level means you can take them through easier content again because there's no shortage of easy maps you probably skipped. If you get to a point where you have the growth points to swing it, it is definitely worth it, but you still need those to level up other new acquisitions.
This is the sole reason why I max out Seimei Abe first because his air charge moves crazy, especially down the terrain.
