For anyone that's been through this part of the game, has anyone been able to find the visage spider? I found the centipede in Shadowmere Marsh however I can't locate the spider.

From what I already did - you don't need the spider, you only need the centipede. The old granny will say as much due to the time constraint when you return to her with the centipede.

Of course if I'm wrong and the story stops rolling, feel free to correct me.

I had the spider but had no Idea where I got it. I only went back inside the hall and had the option to give her the spider. Before that I cleared all locations within that Area so I might have picked it up there. (Not that I did notice tho)

Was it just by clearing Shadowmere Marsh? I've cleared it atleast 4 times now and no cigar. I've also gone through all the surrounding dungeons as well.

I had visited and cleared all Nanjing areas before that. It was also a perfect run regarding companions so not sure if that plays a role. I actually did not remember where/how I got it.

where is Shadowmere Marsh, why i cant find it on map ?

The visage spider is in the cave, when you are sent to get the snake polis sword.
After that event its not possible to get it I believe. Since there will be no more mobs inside.

If you already found one in an earlier quest and gave it to healer, then you don't need (and can't find) a second one. Otherwise it should be in the sacred cave of Wuxian sect.

if you choose the herbal saint row you will gain quest to get spider from piling school master. But if you get centiped you still wont get poison from learning techniqe

Spider drop is only available if you do envoy route, I don't get the drop on herbal route as she gives the poison.
