Intel IrisXe graphics supported?
I have a year old HP Envy laptop with Intel IrisXe graphics (i7 processor, more than enough RAM, Windows 11) and I'm wondering if this game will work on my system? I know the system requirements say integrated graphics aren't supported, but otherwise it sounds like it would run on a very low end system from several years ago. The IrisXe graphics aren't anything to write home about, but they're pretty decent and most things seems to run fine on them. I would really like to get this game, but I'm also not trying to waste time on something that I'm just going to ask and hope for a refund for when it doesn't work. TYIA.

It is not supported, the game's store page specifically stated a minimum of 4GB VRAM - Meaning the game requires dedicated graphics memory, not system memory.
Along with that, it also specified a system memory of 8GB RAM.

Developers and software engineers put the specs precisely to save everyone's time.

If by some chance the game runs on integrated graphics, great, if not... well, don't expect an help nor support to keep the game running on said machines. Good luck! :ojigi:

i was curious and checked it on an old tablet pc with an intel M7-6Y75 and hd graphics 515.
It's a very low power cpu. It ran at 10fps at 720p, but there were no graphical glitches or crashes.

When I tried running it on an Intel UHD integrated into the i7-11800h (not xe, but has bits of it) I had graphical glitches and screen flicker. Got around 30fps in 720p though.

Like the dev said: it's NOT supported and they clearly state it in the requirements.

Thank you both, I appreciate Cows with Guns' explanation of dedicated memory v system memory and Living One's field research, both are legit very informative.

Hopefully as development moves forward the requirements get loosened up, I would like to give them my money and play what looks like a very fun game.

Ok, so i checked it again and this time there were no problems with the UHD graphics in the 11800h. No flickering or bugs. Not sure what caused it, but I didn't replicate it.

Since the game has no ingame graphic option I changed them manually:

C:\Users\{profilename}\AppData\Local\Wandering_Sword\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor
GameUserSettings.ini

In [ScalabilityGroups] I turned settings down to 2 from 3 and got an average 10 fps boost at 720p, without a noticeable drop in quality.
Dipped to 20-25 in fights, 35-40 in the cities.

You didn't name the model of your processor so I have no idea which version of xe it has, but unless it's a low power processor it shouldn't be worse than the UHD I have.

I don't think the devs will ever officialy support integrated graphics, but the game is playable on them. You just have to drop the resolution and/or settings.
