There is a niche for luck builds with status effects and it is viable to an extent because while bosses are resistant to status effects, they are rarely completely immune to all of them, contrary to what most RPGs teach you. But that’s not really recommended to be honest. It will make the game more difficult unless you’re really experienced.
There’s an item that lets you reallocate all of your stat points. I think you can get around 2 or 3 of them in a playthrough. And abilities can be freely swapped out to an extent by getting more essences. So feel free to experiment a little.
later if you care with elite virtual battle, the best damage from ally is magic build, but it's still long journey for you, so enjoy the game
