Story Differences
I'm just about to finish the original Canon of Creation story, is there enough changes in Canon of Vengeance to play it back to back, or is it better to take a break between the two?

In general, breaks are good between playthroughs. Vengeance's story feels more complete than Creation. The story starts out similar but starts to deviate in a meaningful way after the first area. The biggest change is that characters are more fleshed out by themselves and how they interact with other characters. The bosses are mostly different from Creation and have new gimmicks. Side quests are mostly the same but have added content like the party discussing your choices in the quest (which does influence the ending to a degree)

You're free to give it a few days if you want to take a break. Thankfully, New Game Plus allows you to save your Analyze data for demons/bosses (so long as they are the exact same level/strength. For example, wild demons and the summoned lackey version for a boss have different stats and thus different Analyze sections) so you don't have to memorize weaknesses/strengths moves so long as you've seen them at least once and survived. There's also some more convenience Miracles thrown in (like having all demon skill slots open by default/Instant-Recruit Chance/Violations) for good measure even if you go Newborn. Granted, your demon stock and Nahobino skill slots do revert so you'll have to get those Miiman.

That being said, while the Canon of Vengeance starts very similar to Creation (though with a 'Gotcha' or two thrown about if you don't pay attention to your surroundings/Aogami's warnings), it starts going off the rails of what you knew after the events at the Tokyo Diet Building. From that point on, while you might be in mostly similar areas and a general 'pathway' (with a very significant exception), you should expect a lot of major shake-ups. Don't always expect what you think you remembered! :SMT5V_JackFrost:

Creation actually has 4 possible endings and Vengeance has 2. So aside from the two routes being different, there is reasons to play through it more. Thankfully subsequent playthroughs can be done in under 10 hours because you're largely bringing over your stuff through NG+ and not having to concern yourself with treasure hunting, and can skip a lot of the repeated cutscenes on the routes. As for jumping right in or taking a break. It's up to you entirely. Do whatever it takes to not get burned out. I for one had other games coming out I wanted to play so I put SMTVV on hold to play them with intentions to return to it in August.
