Anyone has a list of demon navigators and what their "specialities" are?

When I accepted the jewel gathering side quest, there was a help window that popped up saying that, to make jewel gathering easier, I should bring along a guide that knows a lot about jewels, hinting that some demon guides are better at gathering jewels while others arent. Mermaid and Alice (especially Alice) seems to be two of those demons who are good at gathering jewels. I also noticed that with Amanozako, when she finds demons, lots of them end up being Mitama demons and Pyro Jack seems to be pretty good at finding small amounts of Macca. Oh and while extremely rare, Alice can also find Aogami Essences.

This must mean that demon guides each have something theyre good at. If this is true, there may be a guide that specializes in gathering incenses and balms and others might even be able to gather random essences, not just Aogami ones.

If someone has info about this or even a full list of demon guides and what theyre good at, please post it here. Thanks! 😁

Hua Po and Decarabia are the jewel gatherers, alice tends to dump a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of lifestones on me and Amanozako tends to find mitamas often. That is the extent of what I know.

Interesting. Maybe its random after all? For me, Alice kept finding jewels after jewels after jewels... And not just one or two either! A lot of times, she found 6 jewels in one shot!

Maybe she is good, I didnt pay attention to her that much after I got lots of like 7 life stones back to back to back.

You were probably very unlucky or maybe I was the one who was super lucky. Dunno. Ill have to test it out again when Ill do the 2nd vengeance route. For now, Im trying to clear all 4 routes of the Canon of Creation.

It only has the original SMTV demon guides/navigators, but its still a good start. I would love to know what the new SMTVV demon guide/navigators specializes in as well! ✦.✦

As it isn't in the article - the other new ones I have seen are :
- Mermaid from the first region if you fully do her quests; seems to pull battles a little more than others
- Ippon-Datara also from the first area on-top of the DIET building (before going in, go to the right and climb it; in the back is a spot where you can then get on the back part of the roof - he is up there); haven't used him yet though.
- Pixie from the second area; when looking for golden apples, she is hanging out on the riverbank near a split, and has a quick mission that unlocks her - also haven't used yet.

ippon datara is hilarious. When he finds a spot he goes "Yes! I smell a battle!" But then when its an item he says "Ahh! It just some stupid crap!"

I was using ippon datara and found way more mitamas then i have found using amanozako.
i think it really is all random, not sure but just from my experience.

Alice is good at finding jewels as a reference to her questline in the very first SMT. She even has a skill referencing this in the SMT mobile game called "Give me Jewels!"

Are you sure it's not because you're in Odaiba? The area outside of Bethel Egypt doesn't have any demon encounters outside of Seth or the Miitamas, so combat discoveries will always be Miitamas by default. Ippon Datara does have the highest encounter rate of the Navigators though.

My favourite navigator is Amanozako. She is not just a navigator, she is a character. When Amanozako is apsent I use Jack`O Lantern from Faity Village. In general, I would like to see the ability to summon any of your demons as a navigator added. I wouldn't mind running around with Cait Sith, Cironnup or Muu Shuwuu.

if you want more random battle from search point use: Ippon-datara

personally i don't care what they pull from search point, i use navi based on their look, so whenever the game let me to replace navi:
- early game i will use Mermaid
- then i replace Mermaid with Muu Shuwuu
- if i play Vengeance after Muu Shuwuu it will be Alice

we will get 6 additional navi, if Cleopatra or Idun in Creation only then i might use one of them after Muu Shuwuu, i prefer Idun tbh, and i think i can't let Alice go
