Roughly 80 hours or so on average for one playthrough. But there are 2 routes. one having 4 possible endings and the other having 2.

yeah, if you've never played SMT before. it's really not 80 hours. I'm about to enter the government building and boss fight the demon ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and i'm at 23 hours, and i've been collecting every item/doing every subquests.

Vengeance hasn't been out long enough for HLTB to have data on it yet:
https://howlongtobeat.com/game/145836

But we can take a look at vanilla SMTV for reference of what the average playerbase took to complete it:
https://howlongtobeat.com/game/53769

Average is about 67 hours, with completionist being 96 hours. So roughly 80 hours is a fairly decent guess and in-line with what the devs of the game kept promoting it to be.

It took me 123 hours to beat it on the Switch. Granted, I don't like to rush when playing JRPGs. But yes, I'd say that normal people would take around 80 hours to beat the game and do most sidequests.

My save file from switch version says I played around 80 hours, but my actual playtime from the repeated boss fight tries, probably around 120 hours.

No loner than 40 hours

If you rush? Maybe.

I wouldn't say it is impossible (since there's no reason for me not to believe you), but I can assure you it would be impossible for me. :p

I NEVER like to rush when playing my games, SPECIALLY RPGs. I like to take my time. Talk with all NPCs, backtrack just because I can, etc.

Hell, it took me 86 hours to beat Chrono Trigger! :p

My first playthru(of this version I'd played the original) was 40 hours, this was getting everything, opening every sphere, talking to everyone, finding every miman, doing(as far as I'm aware) all the quests, and getting 90%+ of the compendium, along with a million or more macca saved and most of the Miracles(Mitra DLC).

My second was about 10 hours, just getting chest, Miman gathered, reopened chests to find which ones still give things not essence or Macca(One Tablet in the second Da'at area via a hidden rail near the leyline by the Fionn fight, one lavish demon box just before Arioch fight in Demon King Castle, and 2 with Vitality Balms in fourth area of Da'at, one just below the Nordic in a rail accessed area, and one of the four spheres in the pond had the other). I also did all the quests that reward balms that aren't Health/Stamina(That's Turbo Granny, the Relay Race, Raiding/Defending Tokyo, and the DLC quests).

My third was 5 hours, no chests, but doing the other things.

Fourth was the same.

All of this was Canon of Creation, starting the Canon of Vengeance later today.

90+ hours for my first run and I didn't do all of the quests.
Koby Jun 20, 2024 @ 8:14am
I'm now 30 hours in myself and only at the first leyline at the beginning of Chiyoda. I've collected 100 miman, did some of the DLC quests, and my party is around level 55. So I figure I'll at least double my playtime before having completed my first Creation route run. And I'm usually the type of gamer that has low play times compared to the average gamer according to HLTB statistics.

Just finished my first playthrough in ~45 hours and I didn't rush. 80 seems excessive. I mean yeah .. if you want to get almost everything 80 seems correct but imo. getting everything looks like a bore in this game.

Depends on what mode you play it on! If you play on Normal for the first time playthrough with nothing carried over from the vanilla one, probably 40+ hrs (factoring in any farming and sidequests). If you play on Safety or Casual, probably even less.

Hitting 70h and I still haven't gotten to the last area.
