Crashes and restarts PC randomly
Only Persona 3 Reload and this game crashes my laptop.

Never crashes with any other non-Steam (and more demanding) games like Elden Ring and Cyberpunk 2077. Never crashes in the thousands of hours I have used this laptop not gaming.

Is it an Atlus problem? Steam problem?
Reinstalled GPU (and DDU removed) and tested my RAM - all working fine. Temperatures are low too (gets way hotter with Elden Ring and CP2077 anyway than P3R/SMT).

Played all day on launch day and crashed once near the beginning. Now it's crashing every 5-10 minutes :(

This game uses a lot of system resources, it sounds like your PC doesn't meet the specifications necessary for the game, especially if your PC is restarting. You may also have major issues with PSU/cooling.

Nah that can't be it. I can run Elden Ring and CP2077 (not via Steam) and it's never crashed. Also CPU/GPU runs above 80 degrees for those games.

P3R and SMTV only run at 70 degrees or below and crashing.

I have a similar issue. I play for a while then my laptop suddenly starts overheating, the framerate drops and a few seconds later pc shuts down. The weird thing is that this started on my second playthrough at the end of the Shinagawa section. The game didn't crash once during the first run which was around 30 hours.
again, if your PC is overheating it's literally your setup that is the problem. your cooling system within your laptop is not good enough if your laptop EVER overheats. It should be capable of cooling itself down. either get it looked at if it's been a while since you got it, or pick a laptop brand with a better cooling system.

In fairness; most laptops aren't meant for 110% load-usage and usage over time WILL eventually make it start overheat if you push the limitations of the device on a consistent basis. Add to that the possibility of overclocking and well.... hardware has come a long way but it's still the main reason why they recommend an actual rig for serious gaming rather than a laptop

Or heck one could get a steam deck.
Not even the steam deck but one of those mobile computers like the Rog ally or the oneXplayer.
Game is buggy, crashes for no reason

that is 100% a pc hardware issue if your entire PC is crashing. you likely don't meet the specs to play the game, or maybe barely meet it and have other stuff running in the background.

very well optimized, runs really well.

perhaps the issue its in your end.

this. I'm 80 hours in, not a single crash, on no Atlus game ever. Not on Steam, not on Xbox Game Pass PC.

This game is an Unreal Engine 4 title, as most games on PC, Switch, PS and Xbox are. If there was a major problem with that game engine, everyone would have it and we would propably all know about it.

Now tell me this: Why does almost nobody that has crashes ever post their specs? How is anyone supposed to figure out where the issue might be?
