i got SMT 5 on my oled switch
should i get this game? is it remaster, remake, expansion, or definitive version?

kinda both of this, its the updated game with extra content. if you like this game and played it before i would suggest to wait for a discount on pc, if you want to play it on switch buy physical ones since Nintendo might eventually shut down the digital storefront in the future

It’s a definitive version with expanded content and knowing Atlus it will have a chunk of gameplay extra and often more replayability.

I would personally if you really enjoyed the original and were already planning to replay it, because it will add even more to the playthrough.

There is a now story route with new characters. Also new features and mechanics have been added

Runs great on the Deck, all settings on running at native rez locked 60 fps.
I can’t imagine playing on the switch considering how terrible the experience was with MHS2.

It's definitive and I'm playing it on the OLED too. Had to do a little tinkering but I'm getting full screen real estate with 90 FPS and around 3 hours of battery life. This version is a welcome improvement over the original for sure. Definitely get it.

Deck haha. I see now the OP wrote the Switch OLED. Anyway this looks amazing on the OLED Deck. Highly recommended from me!!
