you could say that of many other games, but smt has always been grindy. long before dlc was a thing and your parents hadn't even made you yet smt was already grindy AF
I see the mythama DLCs, as a time saver, for all those who can play for just a few hours a day, either because of work and/or study. Even if they were abused, what difference does it make to you? Well, how does the way they play a title, which I repeat being SP only, affect your personal gaming experience? You've triggered yourself over something that is frankly quite stupid.
The game isn't "extra grindy" at all. You can stay on the expected leveling curve by just exploring, doing sidequests, and starting wave battles. The original game on switch had far less EXP and Macca in the early game than Vengeance, but by mid-game, without wave battles or a couple extra sidequests, you'd have enough miracles to breeze through the latter half of the game without ever needing to have Mitamas turned on.
also... you're playing a megaten game? do you not like battles???
