But I agree that it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ when companies add xp boosts etc as dlc. Assassin's Creed Odyssey being the one that pissed me off the most.
This game isn't like that though. The grind in SMT is usually well balanced and isn't added with dlc in mind. If you understand and engage with the game mechanics you don't need to grind. SMT has been this way from the beginning.
There are far greater offenders in the industry like Ubisoft or Capcom that actually do what you are accusing this game of doing.
As someone who's in my late thirties and plays games as much as time permits, I look at those around me who have children and other real world responsibilities that prevent them from being able to put in the hours that others can. In my eyes, that's who these are for. Sure, it maybe hard for someone not in their shoes to justify a dollar amount on something that let's them 'jump forward' but in that scenario, who's it REALLY hurting?
I get that this probably won't really impact how you feel in the least, but at least I can say I tried -- y'know? Just let people be, enjoy your game -- or don't and let this completely spoil everything about the game for you. Just try to remember not everyone is the same.
The game isn't actually grindy at all, just turn the extra mitamas off in the menu, and that will make for a better experience anyway.
They don't lmao
SMT's always been grindy
Why use them tho
What's weird to me is someone scowling angrily while actively choosing, consciously, to use powerful DLC things, that's not the dev's fault
Also, disagree that the cheat DLC is any big impact. Most of the time consumption "grind" is determining which fusions to route out. All the cheat DLC does is make it so instead of exiting and re-entering the map to go to set locations and kill the Mitamas, you turn on a toggle for the Mitamas.
But that's a "you" problem, why do you even care how other people enjoy their leisure time on a single player game? Like, actual question. Why does it bother you that other people can cheat in a closed environment? If it's a single player experience you should focus on how YOU enjoy the game not how others traverse the game.
I put in hundreds of hours in fighting games in which you actually need skill and work to prevail, in those environments I'm very much against cheating because others cheating does have an impact on me and it does makes things worse for everone but when some 35 year old dad wants to play with cheats during his offtime in a single player game? why does he have to play the way YOU want? You haven't provided a reasonable explanation to this other than "they are not playing the way I want them to"
But they SUDDENLY become active again on steam forums.
careful unless you've got a spare billion dollars
Nah it's more so the OP hasn't made a post in 3 years, and suddenly this is the first thing said, despite having other games that have or had microtransactions on them, but not say anything about those?
What a loser.
