I kinda wish I bought it here instead of enduring it on the switch.

I always preferred SMT to Persona.
I'm not fond of the life-sim and time management aspects of Persona. I feel like I spend more time talking to NPC and less time actually playing in persona games. I just want to get to the actual battles, which SMT focuses more on.

Nah, Persona is SMT but with life-sim. SMT's focus has never been super frontloaded story and character interatction. The focus was always on the gameplay. SMT's combat has more depth to it and the difficulty is generally higher.
