You just described a regular Nocturne run, walk down a hall, run into random encounter, get ambushed, get 1 shot.
And if you think this is bad, wait until you play Nocturne or Strange Journey, where random encounters can be harder than bosses.
What hurts the most is the fact i couldn't go back and exact revenge cuz i know if i had first turn i would've obliterated that thing. 2 of my demons had null for phys so they took 0 damage from it but since my nahobino had no resistance against it, he died and game over. Otherwise, even my remaining demons alone could've killed it
