Just bought the game after the Demo

How does the demo's save transfer work?
Do I delete the demo, install the full version and just run it; should I keep the demo installed or how does it work?
I just want to make sure I'm not going to delete my save data by mistake or overwrite it.

I deleted demo after i done it. After i get full SMT my save from demo was already there in the main game. So save will transfer. And i remember that when you downloading the game there's another download, maybe it's your save.
