Question: Is there any difference between the Nintendo Switch Edition and the PC Edition?
I wanted to ask if there is any difference between the Nintendo Switch Edition of this game and the PC edition and if there is any difference or bonus if you have the game Shin Megami Tensei V.

On the Switch the following thing can happen if you have a save file from SMTV:

1) You can carry over the Demons in your party (not compendium and only those were selected as attack party) which was on that save file before. For example you can start as Nahobino, Nuwa, Abdiel and Black Frost.
2) If you start the game it mentions youll getting a few item as a Bonus. These are only healing items and a few grimoire items. Cant remember how many items that is but its a bunch which "can" help early game.

No platform specific bonus or contents.
Except if you want to carry over old saves from vanilla game, only Switch version can do that.

What the meaning of "carry over save"?
You can transfer old save from vanilla SMTV to SMTV-V in Switch console.

Basically if you have an old save from the original game you get some bonus items (nothing unique) and can carry over any 3 demons from your save file compendium.

Other than that I would say there are no real differences unless you value performance, in which case the PC version is vastly superior. (Massively stronger framerate, better load times, etc)

As someone who bought the original game on Switch, if you're deciding between them then definitely get it on PC.
Whilst still enjoyable, the poor performance on the switch version was very disappointing and I'm having a much more fun time playing it nice and smoothly on PC
