Except if you want to carry over old saves from vanilla game, only Switch version can do that.
Other than that I would say there are no real differences unless you value performance, in which case the PC version is vastly superior. (Massively stronger framerate, better load times, etc)
Whilst still enjoyable, the poor performance on the switch version was very disappointing and I'm having a much more fun time playing it nice and smoothly on PC
On the Switch the following thing can happen if you have a save file from SMTV:
1) You can carry over the Demons in your party (not compendium and only those were selected as attack party) which was on that save file before. For example you can start as Nahobino, Nuwa, Abdiel and Black Frost.
2) If you start the game it mentions youll getting a few item as a Bonus. These are only healing items and a few grimoire items. Cant remember how many items that is but its a bunch which "can" help early game.
