CoV also has its own unique Nahobino form.
The story differs dramatically between CoC and CoV, since Yoko and the Qadištu don't exist in CoC.
personally better go with creation first (up to you: Law/Chaos/Neutral/True Neutral, just pick one), i know for someone who already played original will jump to Vengeance directly for new content, but please don't. The reason it feels weird becuase in Vengeance, "Guest Character" can use item while by that point your demon can't use item, also there are some early demon that can be fused if your Nahobino is level 40 or higher, while your nahobino is like level 30 or less so imo Vengeance is to mean be played on your 2nd cycle
also you still need to play the Creation, there's a demon that exclusive in Creation, so if you want to complete 100% compendium then you need to play at least one cycle on creation, anyway you can go neutral on Vengeance to unlock Danu, but in Vengeance there's only Law/Chaos ending, so my advice do Neutral only on Creation
The story in Creation is bare bones and doesn't hold up well by comparison. The only reason to play Creation is if you care about 100% the game by getting all demons and fighting all superbosses or if you played Vengeance first and want more SMTV without replaying the same story.
I highly recommend Vengeance as a first time player because it leaves a better first impression and then continue on to Creation if you liked the gameplay.
In terms of story, there´s a new character and a few story differences early on but the story changes drastically later
