...am I missing something?

I used my Nahobeeho essence for affinity and then tried to grind another Essence to get some skills... but then it said I already had it even though the essence shows as Absent.

I could get repeated essences for things like Pixie, but then I also tried with Dagda and got the same message.

Are some essences unique per playthrough or what am I supposed to do to get another Nahobeeho/Dagda essence?

I don't think there is a limitation for demons to give their essences in 1 playthrough. Just tested with Nahobeeho and Dagda. They gave me their essences 3rd time no problem.

Didn't say aogami once in the post. I definitely got more than one nahobeeho essence during my playthrough. I'm not sure what's going on.

Nahobeeho, not nahobino. It's a jack frost varient demon essence, not an aogami essence.

tl;dr i had some weird glitch, tried to use the essence of both absent demons and it worked, after that i managed to refill them as expected.

oh, my bad. I don't know why, but I assumed you were spelling nahobino wrong and confusing the aogami with nahobino.
