You cant, you need to view the true neutral ending in the canon of creation , then you can fight him in the canon of vengeance

You can unlock the quest after defeating the final boss, and saving your clear data, and then reloading your latest save (before the clear save). You don't need to play through canon of creation. I've defeated him, and I haven't played through CoC on PC.

If you mean winning the fight. It's doable even on hard, when using the evasion focused skills from one of the late game essences. I'd say it's nearly impossible without them, since he has one move that one shots anyone he happens to target. Basically the fight is too long to survive without the 100% evasion from one of the buff skills, even if you have enduring soul and a whittled goat.

Yes, you need the true neutral ending. The fourth icon on the save screen from left to right. To get it you need to kill Shiva and complete Fionn, Amanozako and Khonsu sidequests.

I can confirm you can start the fight by reloading a save after beating just CoV.

I beat the game after the Samael boss fight then reloaded a save right before the final boss and the quest was there.

Not exactly, but yes, but it'll essentially be a second playthrough. If you reload the save after being CoV then you can fight him, but you'll make new clear data.

No exploit, you just load your last save after making the clear data.

No. That's just one of the ways to get the fight.

Do you have any advice regarding MP management? I'm trying to beat him on my first playthrough(CoV), but i keep running out of MP after dealing around half of his HP.

I have the deluxe version so I had access to Konohana Sakuya. With Oyamatsumi in your stock, she has access to a very good magatsuhi skill, that restores a good amount of MP, not to mention the slight MP recovery you get just from her unique skill as well. I wouldn't say she is absolutely required, but without her, it's definitely going to be an even harder fight. If you don't have access to her or don't want to use her, you'll probably need multiple demons with similar roles to switch to, once you run out of MP recovery items and MP on your main demons.
