[Opinion] I'd like an honest POV about the 2 DLC demons/quests.
As per the title, I would like to know if both of these two demons/missions, are worth their price. Are they overly powerful, resulting in the game being too easy even at the highest difficulty level? Thanks in advance for your time and replies.

sakuya replaces idun, also has amazing battle music.
dagda is level 80, so haven't gotten him yet, also for some reason when i tried to fight him his battle music seemed super low quality/compressed and not nearly as good as the other tracks in the game...

so tl;dr, sakuya = must buy, dagda = that fight's gonna suck to get through with that music.

will they make the game too easy even on the highest difficulty? absolutly not, like 100% no.
are they nice to have? absolutly yes.
are they worth the price? thats up to you mostly. my honest opinion is that they might be a bit too pricey. you dont get a full questline for it. its basically just 1 or 2 fights plus the demon.

Sakuya is THE end-game healer, there are no better healer later in the game, not even NG+ demons. Dagda can only run standard physical set, it has the highest power growth out of all demons but has low speed. There are other superior physical options in terms of utility/versatility.

If any demons are going to break this game its definitely not these two.
No, they are not broken, and even if they were, you ain't gonna be getting Dagda anytime before you're around his level. As a boss, he can be absolutely brutal.

He has access to Freikugel, both as a boss and as a playable demon, along with an absurd base strength stat. That alone makes him a premier physical threat at the point where you can acquire him.

I bought the dlc bundle for two demons it enabled those tear colored things littered the world with them, it completely unbalanced the game regarding resources turned that crap right off in the options and reloaded the save. Hopefully those two demons wont be one hitting the bosses

I think it’s a bit ♥♥♥♥♥♥ that a DLC demon replaces a base game one in the healer role especially since she was my favorite healer in the original. Honestly I think they did it on purpose but it is what it is.

Nothing stops you from making Idun viable even with the nerf to her heal. Use what you want.

you literally turn this off in options. no need to "Reload the save", just set to "Standard" and never put to increase.

Sakuya literally not only also heals MP, and this is a direct upgrade but if you have oyamatsumi in your stock she can moderately heal hp/mp of entire party as a omagatoki action + 2x rank up every stat... she is the much superior one. Idun has a quest for you later though so don't get rid of her.

Don't get me wrong, I get the paid dlc demon is better but Idun held up just fine before so it's not like she's not viable just cause the paid demon is pay to win levels of stronger.

you're forgetting this game also introduced innate passives... idun was nerfed to slight, the new demon has MODERATE hp heal and more than slight MP heal, + the moderate HP/MP heal that doesn't consume a turn where she can heal allies mp even more if necessary. the MP aspect makes it completely diff ballpark.

The new healer is not just better. They literally nerfed the potency on Idun’s golden apple. Granted the main reason to use it was the buffs but it still costs a ♥♥♥♥ ton of MP even after the healing nerf.

Sakuya is insane, she's 'worth it' as much as paying for a single demon could be worth it.

Dagda is really lacklustre. Don't bother if you'd rather have the money in your pocket.
I got Dagda relatively early in the game since I was already lvl 99 (don't ask lol). He was pretty hard to fight on Normal, but I found that after getting him, he's.. he's "ok". Not a lot of use out of him since he's mainly a physical attacker, and he was of little use to me during the end-game fights since he had nothing to offer over other demons.

If you like him just because, it might to take a quite a bit of balms, sutra, and essences to get him where you want.

cheater's perspective doesn't really offer much value though to someone who actually intends to use them while progressing in their party, such as maybe for the 80-99 fights.

Dagda and Sakuya are both EXTREMELY powerful and worth the price .

Dagda has very high str and excellent defense which makes him very good tank .
He is probably the most powerful str based demon in the game right after Zeus.

My Dagda is blocking all damage and he is a must have for end game. Give him a taunt skill and those non almighty bosses tend to waste all of their magatsuhi turns.

His innate skills aint that good since its all about instant kills so it only works on non bosses demons. But what makes him really good is his unity skill with Danu , basically allows you reset your turns to its initial state , that is a whole bonus round .

As for Sakuya , give her Ex boon and High heal pleroma , couple up with some MP recovery skills you basically got infinite MP , Buff and Health for the whole party.
