Yes.

At the beginning of the game you can choose to hold a girl's hand or not. If you do, you'll start the Canon of Vengeance route, which can take you around 100 hours to beat. Maybe less if you rush. Me? I'll probably play it for 200 hours or so, I'm usually slow when playing RPGs.

This version also has more demons to recruit, ome QOL changes and a place where you can chat with your demons.

Also, Abscesses are less annoying now. In fact, they are mostly optional now.

Even when it would be exactly the same game (it isnt, dont worry) it would be worth. On switch: stuttering 15-25 FPS. On PC, PS5, whatever smooth 60++++ FPS.

But dont buy it on switch, that would be a fail.

Yeah, I'm playing the vengeance route, and even though the big story changes are supposed to come in the middle of the game, the beginning has its fair share of changes as well. More story and character development, your friends being active party members from time to time, new demons and sidequests, and a lot of QoL tweaks. Also 4k and especially 144fps are just a game changer.

100% yes I had the OG version on Switch and the game was honestly kind of mid, a lot of it due to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ performance and everything looking all washed out.

PC version @144 frames with maxed out graphics is absolutely beautiful. The PC/PS5 versions are definitive.

The Vengeance route make it feel like you have more allies. In the OG version you didn't really ever get to see your classmates fight. Many qol changes that are welcomed. I will say I think I liked a couple of the bosses and music more in OG but obviously not everything will be perfect. Gives you a good reason to play both.

Yes.

not only does it have a entire new route you can pick at the beginning of the game but even in the original games story it has loads of new features and content that wasn't in the original.
So as someone who also owned the original on the switch its worth it, not only does it have so much new content in it
but it also playes way more smoother on PS and i'm assuming on playstation and xbox as well.

they 3x'd the content of the game. not just 100 hour post-story, also an additional 80 hour FULL story. Then also 40+ major gameplay changes & adjustments, not even the same game. your demon party might be similar for hydra but like at no point after that cuz of all the new stuff like innate demon passives, demon haunt as another method to get stats of ur demons up (a demon might be on ur main party simply cuz it keeps growing from demon haunt for instance) plus so many new demons, etc.

also on pc it plays 240 fps 1440p, so smooth. think of it like SMT VI, this isn't like their normal re-releases.

Even before Hydra i think they shifted some demons around in the first area.
I could have sworn Azumi were more present before the waterfall you travel up to to get to hydra.

yeh they added that new water demon, and like 3+ new sidequests just in that area in the start.

Not only the game runs at 30 FPS on the Switch, it is not stable. The game has drops to around 15 FPS on the Switch at some moments. You probably just didn't notice, but they are there.

Most of the times, the game hovers at around 22-25 FPS and then goes up to 30 and then drops to 24 or so. And whenever those drops occur, the game stutters.

And the game almost seems like it is gonna crash after teleporting sometimes, the game drops to as low as 10 FPS!

No, the Switch version doesn't run fine. You probably just don't mind the low FPS and the stutters.

I played the Switch version of this before it came out, and the difference is night and day. The PC game is ridiculously superior, like going from a graphing calculator to a military computer.

In general , if game stutter doesn't bother you , it usually means you have a very poor gaming set up , playing on a very small screen , or gotten used to games running at poor frame rate , frame pace and so on.

I am on QD OLED 77" screen , any the game chokes up it is extremely obvious even my 90 years old grandma notice it.

So yes , try not to underplay game performance issues , because motion hiccup is always a problem even if you don't notice it , your eyes blink and strained more .

No, youre Version dont runs fine, fact one. You get on switch something between 15-25 FPS, fact two. That has nothing to do with smooth gameplay, fact three.
