Rooted Soul (HP/MP boost) is also a great passive for early game.
I'll give those other options a try though. Honestly my main issue is too many demons and not enough of knowing who or what to use. And i don't wanna just le google meta demons.
Where rage?
This is true though it was one of those high crit chance melees skills. Even if i did live the others were on 5% hp lmao
Generally adjust based on the fight if your affinities are getting you killed. Easiest thing to do is to cover up whatever they can hurt you with. It deprives them of turns if you null or better anyway, which means even more free actions to beat them.
Eligor and Andras are weak against electricity, MC already starts with Zio and you should bring at least one other demon with lightning skills and that alone would make the fight quite easier. I find it odd that he one-shot you with 140 HP,. You can still have pretty bad RNG and get clapped, but I don't think "hard" is unfair, it just requires better planning.
Also, if you want to switch difficulties every time you are having a hard time then what's the point?
My issue is that my damage made the fight take so long, doing all that just to be instakilled lmao. Doesn't help i put more into strength than magic
Its fine, just do what you need to.
As for knowing, a spyglass is useful every time, you know where to strike and what you might want to use dampeners on. But if you get hard stuck then changing resistances will do the job.
To that end I got stuck briefly on a superboss until I went nuts on my resistances. I'm used to older SMTs where they'll flip out and just start spamming almighty moves if you resist a ton of what they'll do.
e.g. Decided to stomp out some region bosses yesterday; Qing Long was almost entirely a cake walk. My team was Anahita (light/ice attacks), Mermaid (Ice/Drain/debuff/heal), and Hell Biker (his skills as one debuffs and added the poison skill that debuffs defense also). Could easily walk through the fight until 2 times in a row, it got lucky and crit-locked me to death.
Sometimes though - it's just my first fight is the "test" (see what's up, and what sticks damage type wise) and what their Magatsuhi skill element is for the nullifier items. Once you know the elements, you should honestly be able to take out things even 10 levels above you relatively easy (though some are just your hard counter - right now it's Baihu for me, but I canned just about all the other region bosses so far - including the rock dude).
Edit : And my Nahabino stats right now are like (just got to Oberon and getting the apples) :
- around 28 str
- 30 vit
- 50 mag
- 50 evasion
- 44 luck
As for essences, you'll find a lot of them on the field, some are sold by Gustave (or given as rewards for mimans) and occasionally you can get them from your demons by leveling or rarely as drops from fights.
