The Demon of the Spring quest will not finish

I defeated the goddess and come back to the mermaid but I can't complete her quest. She just tells me to find the goddess. Anyone else have this happen? Any possible fix?

EDIT: Yes. Anahita is dead (well, defeated), I have her fusion even, the quest says "After defeating her in battle, Anahita lifted the curse. Report back to the mermaid." And yet when I do, she just tells me to find the goddess as if I didn't. Don't need walk throughs, just wanted to know if there is a fix or not. The quest may be bugged, if anyone else stumbles across this problem.

FIRST part of that quest is killing Pazuzu
Second part of that quest is killing Anahita

It rewards you with Mermaid as a free demon in your party AND having the option to pick her as a navigator

I had no issue turning in this quest and getting mermaid navigator. need more info. you found anahita at the base of the mountain which is off the path of the tokyo tower area?

Not sure how much more detail I can provide? Yes, I defeated her. Yes, I unlocked her special fusion. The quest even updated with telling me to see the mermaid but she will not accept that I fought anahita. I'm going to accept the quest bugged, way too far to reload a save now.

Hello, i have the same, feature, bug. only what i dont have is the mermaid as demon or navigator because my demon storage was full at the fight with pazuzu

If your stock was full at the time you miss out on mermaid (but can catch one near the mermaid spring)... this is because after the quest is completed you can go back to the mermaid spring and talk to the mermaid near the entrance of the grove to get her as a navigator after which she moves to the Tokyo Tower leyline.

This ist not the problem at all, the quest dosent complete, she talk every time from anitha is on a mountain but i killed her but its not triggerd as report back. I am on the "Canon of Creation " Route maybe the quest is buged and can not finished.

I am on the canon of creation route and I have managed to do this quest. Do you have any old saves you can retry with?
I have seen a few posts on this board about missing event triggers, such as this. Could it be a system thing? Or maybe skipping through text too quick?

I have successfully completed the mission, and I had mermaid in my party already at that point. So far the bug seems to be random.
