At last there was 3rd SMT game that not PERSONA on steam.
First was SMT 3 : Nocturne and second was Soul Hackers 2 from Devil Summoner root.
Now we need Digital Devil Saga, Devil Summoner Raidou Kuzunoha, and another sub series.

i don't mind persona but i gotta say it's nice to finally get another mainline game after five persona games. they don't get the appreciation they deserve in comparison

HD remasters of DDS 1 and 2 have been likely for a while now, but we don't know for sure.
Raidou probably won't come back any time soon due to certain reasons.
I'd personally also love to see HD versions of SMT 4/4A/SJ. (As well as Q/Q2) They've shown they're capable of porting 3DS games with the Etrian Odyssey remasters, so I don't see why not.

Yeah, I agree with you. DDS remasters were most likely held up because of the messy split with Kaneko, but he's got a new company now so that's been resolved one way or another and they should come soon enough. I think they're waiting for VV to release and try to establish SMT as a big franchise with the new audience since Persona 5 before doing the IV remasters, with EO being a test for their DS ports.
If it's on the DS I think there's a good chance it'll be remastered soon because Nintendo have moved onto Switch-style consoles for the forseeable future (and closed the eShop), so companies won't want their popular or even simply marketable IPs stranded on closed hardware. Except the Dragon Quest remasters lol.

DDS remasters, coming to you live with lowered difficulty, journalist mode, and the ability to switch difficulty at any point in the game! Oh and DLC which trivializes the entire grind part of the game of course, aka we will butcher what DDS is known for...all for a *modern audience* of course. Lol.

We wouldn't want to miss out on MONEY after all, wdym games like DDS weren't made with money as the sole purpose of being made? Who the heck would do such a thing?

-ActiAtlus, probably (yes I know they aren't actually bought out by Activision)

To be honest, I completely agree with you that it cheapens the games now they all have baby mode incorporated and pay to grind DLC but...you gotta remember Atlus went bankrupt making their best games because they all sold like crap. I'd rather not have diluted nu-Atlus, but if that's the only way we'll get the stuff I actually want (PS2 remasters, ports of the DS and 3DS stuff) then I'll sadly take it. But when they remake SMT2 in Unreal and add social links I'll kill myself!
