steering wheel with the mouse too. It was near perfect. You see a small arrow in the middle of the steering wheel and so when move the mouse first in smaal steps you steer the car with the mouse. But when you move the mouse at the first step fast you look only around (like the "normal" setting you have in Reforger.
Hope you understand what i mean, english is not my mother language.
But arma3 player know what i mean. In arma3 it make a lot of fun to drive vehicles, but in reforger it is horrible with the very unaccurate steering the car to press the keyboard keys.
So with mouse steering you have a more accurate stearing, but with keyboard stearing you have an unaccurate digital steering.
The best will be Bohemia integrate the arma3 vehicle control from arma3 1:1 to reforger (with some modifications perhaps).
so I downloaded x360ce version 1.4, which is a 3rd party controller emulator, and was able to use the steering wheel in a multiplayer server but with issues.
the game shuts off my mouse and disables it completley when it sees the controller, so its like the controller has prioirty and the steering wheel's inputs causes it to spin through the settings menu's so I can't get in and unbind the controller settings that aren't for vehicles.
but I at least kinda got it working enough to drive a truck.
these are the default controller truck controls, so I used this to assign the axis and buttons of the steering wheel to them in x360ce:
steer: left analog stick left-right
accelerate: right trigger
full throttle: right trigger
brake: left trigger
gear shift up: left analog up
gear shift down: left analog down
reverse: left analog down
so for each of these in x360ce i clicked on the button and then when prompted moved the wheel or pressed the pedals so it would assign it to that xbox controller button.
the game seems to have a deadzone for the steering wheel input, so I had to use the anti-deadzone feature and also increase the sensitivyt of the steering wheel so it matches the in-game steering wheel position. once all that was done it works good if I am in a truck.
But the issue is that the game gives priority to the controller, so it disables my mouse and I have to unplug the controller in order to get the mouse back. If I could find a magic keypress to enable/disable the controller that would be better than unplugging it. or if game would give mouse/keyboard prioirty and let controller inputs be extra.
