Aging Barrels Missing?

I've just purchased the aging barrels upgrade for the basement. There doesn't seem to be a spot for them nor a means of accessing them. I've restarted the game, progressed to the next day, checked if I need to purchase the barrels, nothing. Anybody else having this issue or able to figure it out?

I just bought the upgrade without thinking and i don't even remember what it said, something along the lines "space for ADDITIONAL aging barrels in the basement" looked around all the npcs with no barrels in sight and just kinda forgot about it.

Anyone figured out what it does? Is it even in the game? I just beat the 2nd competition and still no mention of these things anywhere.

You have to buy the aging barrels. Only thing it does is essentially makes the potion more valuable.

So you're saying I spent 3000 for an upgrade for something I didn't even have? Why did they even give me the damn option then?
If that's the case, can someone please tell me how to get the ageing barrel?
Is it an unlock via Saffron that is locked behind previous upgrades? Is it something you unlock as you progress through the game? Based on images, the barrels have different appearances so they look like something you buy through Muktuk.
It's honestly scary how much this game asks from you when currently it makes your life unnecessarily difficult from all the bugs/softlocks and poor explanations.

About halfway through that week the walrus guy comes and gives you access to aging barrels, i don't know why they let you buy the expansion before that happens

But which week? I bought the upgrade during week 2 like day 15 or something, now i'm on day 22 and still nothing.

Yeah I made the same mistake, dumped 3k on an upgrade I wasn't going to have access to for like three more weeks. I don't know why they let you do that.

Oh I thought it only came available in week 3, it's something like day 23-25 so you're about to get them

Probably because it’s the strongest thing in stardew valley so I bought it ASAP. No big deal though, since I’m swimming in money and already have the next potion set ready on day 11.
