First major decision help [possible spoilers]

Can anyone tell me without spoiling a lot... how Deck Nine has set the universe in Double Exposure? Like which decisions they picked up for us from previous games. I came across first major decision, and I'm so confused. Compared to LiS2, where you can choose either to save Arcadia Bay or Chloe (for further references in Ep1 and Ep5), you here can't pick up anything, yet decisions are thrown in your face about Chloe:
> We Broke Up
> She died
None of this were decisions that I made in LiS1, or selected for LiS2, and I seriously have no clue what to pick now. Is anywhere mentioned by which direction Deck Nine led the story, so it might remove the confusion for me and help me out what to pick up here? It kinda makes no sense for me to select between the two before previous options to pick up Arcadia Bay/Chloe.

That's just the Bae or Bay choice. Broke up means Arcadia Bay was wiped out, died means Max let her die to save Arcadia Bay. It's simply a more subtle way of establishing the preferred choice.

Besides Bae/Bay they definitely decided not to do Max+Warren line, Kate dissapeared, Victoria is different in Bay/Bae and is in some contact with Chloe

You had to have made one of those two choices since those are the only end game choices of LIfe is sttrange one you can make. It's the choice between whether you let Chloe die or not.

Ohhh. Basically, break up made me confused because in LiS2, David shows Sean pictures of Max and Chloe being happy and together (ofcourse I picked up before the start of the game to save Chloe). So that means even if you saved Chloe, picked up that in LiS2, David shows the picture of them being together... they will still break up in the end?

Obviously, I won't even discuss about Chloe being dead lol
