GPU on fire
The reason I don't play is because I don't feel like watching my GPU burn with a game that should be consuming resources like Windows 95's Minesweeper.

Crazy.

yeah it could definitely use some optimization
Try to cap the frame rate in nvidia settings or the amd equivalent. I've had similar issues on some titles and capping it to 30 didn't really hurt the experience for a turn based 2d game.

Is this a joke? Its a 2D game that calculates dice rolls.
I concur, and wonder if this is the result of a (very) recent change. My fan's blowing like mad and loading times between screens is around 3 seconds longer today.

Yes, I already did that at the time with AMD Adrenaline before writing the post, that's why I posted it, and nothing. The GPU is still hitting the 100% usage ceiling and the fans are going crazy, running at full speed to keep the temperature from going to hell.

Only Baldur's Gate 3, which I played a year ago by miracle due to lack of minimum requirements, pushed the GPU to its limit in a similar way to how this 'little' game does. It makes no sense.

It happened to me a couple of months ago when I was playing it. That's why I stopped playing it.

In fact, I wrote this post after giving it a second chance after these couple of months. I wanted to try limiting the fps (and other options) from outside the game as Vargas78 recommended, but nothing.

The worst part is that even in the game menu, where large games stay at 35-50%, in this one I have the GPU at maximum. In the game menu.
