The devs have said that they have stopped active development, because there was not enough players to sustain it. The game will remain online for as long as people want to play it, however. So as long as 6 people are still playing it, it will remain online.

The game still gets balance updates every few months, map rotations, and awakening rotations. We also still get new ranked seasons.

The only thing they've stopped is new skins, maps, and characters (and thus the battle pass). That's basically it.

The game still has an active playerbase. Just gotta play when other people are playing, like not at 2am in the morning.

NA is from what I understand the most populated. After about 12PM EST Q's start to pop faster for me up until like 2AM EST where it gradually starts slowing down again. During this period I get lots of instapops and wait no longer than 5 min. I can still get games in off hours but around low Challi it can take 20-30 mins sometimes.

They updated this game a lot I'm not sure why it went down the drain aside from maybe attention going to their new project? I really liked Omega Strikers but when the steam charts started showing less than 500 players online I started to worry but that's every free to play game nowadays, people find new ones to gravitate towards.

They just had the college esports finals match for this game. its probably the most popular esports game for college in ECAC.

its crazy that even with the remaining players there are still random top rank dudes hiding their names not even setting a profile card smurfing and ruining the mid rank games spamming emotes on people in an imbalanced 9-0 game crazy

I think the playerbase is still decent at gold or below. You'll get a couple of smurfs and tons of skill disparity but overall you can get into a game after a 3 minute queue max. It's impossible to climb though above plat without being on the Discord server and setting up a team though. It was like this during alpha, beta, release, and in the afterlife now. You can easily see plat players queue up with bronze or silver players so it's pretty unhealthy at the higher ranks.

I love the game though and will continue to casually play it until it truly dies.
