how do you guys expect new players to stick around

when you just mercilessly destroy them? you notice someone is new and can barely hit the ball and instead of giving them a chance to play you just run them down ko them endlessly and try super hard to not let them touch the ball in quickplay of all places. I have seen it happen so many times I just don't understand, like yea the matchmaking is kinda bad but you guys aren't helping either

the game isn't balanced around premades. like if you goa gainst a premade that is all experienced. it won't make sure your team has 3 experienced players too. Premades are destroying new players.

try competitive, at rookie rank, you will fight other new players on your level.

I am not saying you should give people free wins but there is a difference between taking it easy on someone new so they can at least attempt to hit the ball and camping them so hard that everyone in the game is level 10 and the new player is level 2 then dcs before the match ends.

1. How would anyone know you're new?
2. You expect to jump in and not be in a game with people who know how to play?

Unfortunately other than player vs ai there's really no way for new players to get a good foothold except through experience. The matchmaking could be better but with the game barely bringing in new players as it is (or seems to be) it's only inevitable that they may get paired up with more experienced players.
I had to stop playing this game when it got released cause even though I was new I was consistently going up against experienced beta players and it most certainly wasn't fun for me but after that I managed to go and learn at my own pace. You just got to trust that people will stick one way or another.

how would they know? because they are level 2 when everyone else is level 10 4 goals into the game and when the match ends they touched the ball a total of 3 times it is not exactly hard to figure out who is new

New players these days have things, that we didn´t had in Beta, like VS Ai and Training Mode. We begged for that in the beta.
We also struggled with the controls and had no place to try how skills work or how the core reacts, if I do this and that.
I scored so many own goals, because i never played with keyboard and mouse, but I tried and tried and tried, until I got the hang of it.

The problem these days is mostly, that people don´t wanne train, they want to be good at something from the start and if they don´t they leave.
This game is not like Rocket League, were you have to learn complicated things like Air-Rolling or wall shots, its rather simple.

But to the veterans I must say: Don´t rage or quit if you have a new player in Quick Play or other modes, they hopefully try to learn, we all were there, just keep passing to them, try to help them out and take the L like a man/woman and try again next match.
The amount of people complaining about "bad teammates" makes me sad.

Just keep trying and be nice to each other guys (^_^)_/

Again, how would I know they're level 2? They don't show the players' level, only rank if you're playing rank and even that can still be deceiving and unless they show super beginner behavior no one will know.

dude..... IM TALKING ABOUT THE IN GAME LEVEL not their out of game level, you are not aware that you gain levels in this game? wtf?
