DAVE THE DIVER is Steam Deck Verified, but what are the plans for native Linux support?

Another kind request for a native GNU/Linux port. Thanks for the encouraging reply, dear developers. :D

Works just fine with Proton though, you can literally just click and play.

Being steam deck verified means it works well with proton
Count another wish  very good to hear that it's Steam Deck (a full blown Linux gaming gadget yay) *verified* already.
We need a native linux version

You silly billies, Linux isn't for playing games, it's for requesting games be ported to Linux. :P
Jokes guys, srsly.. don't hack me. I've heard all Linux users are black hats on that shadow net everyone talks about.

Genuinely curious though, if it works through Proton (of which all I know is it's used to play Windows based games), why would you want/need native support? Legitimate question here (DON"T HACK ME BRO), are there particular draw backs or limitations? Achievements not work/no cloud/generally finnicky/ease of use?

I've never used Linux but have built apps and stuff before so jokes aside insight would be cool to have, and hey, it's not like you are asking for a Mac port right.

Also props to the devs for considering porting outside the ol Em Dollar Sign, more the merrier. :)
